What makes A. Day's Work giclée prints special?
Giclée printing is a technique that uses high-quality inkjet printers to create reproductions of artwork. Glass beads are then strategically hand sewn into the giclée reproduction on fine art paper.
The end result is a print that closely resembles the original piece, with vivid colors and incredible detail, ensuring that you receive a truly unique piece of 3D Native American art. And because they’re made with archival-quality inks and paper, they’re designed to last a lifetime.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just starting out, giclée prints are an excellent investment that will bring joy and beauty to your life for years to come. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to own an authentic piece of cultural evolution and support fine arts innovation!
If you cannot find an answer to your question, please contact with your question HERE.
I get this question a lot, because the enhanced giclée prints of my original works are quite remarkable. The short answer is yes and no:
The 2D giclée print is a reproduction of the original 3D work. The original work contains the original beadwork, a large number of seed beads hand sewn directly into stretched canvas. The giclée print is a flat image printed on smooth matte fine art paper which retains the appearance and illusion of 3D. Then, I embellish the 2D giclée print with a small number of glass beads (ranging 2 to 14 glass beads) in order to make the giclée print a 3D work.
They are high-quality reproductions of original artwork, created using specialized printers and archival inks. Giclee prints are known for their exceptional color accuracy and detail, making them a popular choice among art collectors.
The best way to frame A. Day's Work enhanced giclée prints is to employ a double matte and/or tell your framer to use black or complementary foam board spacing. This gives the frame a slight, but elegant, shadowbox feel which allows the glass beads space to maintain their intended form.
Yes! This would be a custom order by contacting me directly. The reason I do not keep a larger inventory of canvas prints on hand is because the canvas adds its own texture to the print, which offsets the 3D illusion of the original image best attained on a smooth surface.
That said, the results on canvas are still stunning with and without enhancements, and I will continue to evolve my thoughts on this process in the future. I do have a small inventory of "Fuscate Afvcke" available as an enhanced giclée print on canvas, pictured HERE.
My originals are priced according to the amount of time spent creating them. The giclée prints are priced according to materials used and the time spent on sewing a small number of glass beads into the fine art paper to make the work truly 3D.
A considerable amount of time, from conceptualization to the phases of painting acrylics and sewing the seed beads 3-4 at a time into the stretched canvas to get just the right shape. This is why my enhanced giclée prints are such a remarkable opportunity to own something unique and innovative.
